Originally growing up in Fashion; Carlos' interest in design is what motivates him to find new ways to stimulate and challenge the old ways of design. His design is founded on amplifying and humanizing the voices of marginalized groups. Carlos understands that art should be accessible to all, he is interested in the influence of art, emotion, storytelling, and culture to help him design spaces and emotions anyone can understand.

His motto "For your eyes only" comes from the idea of tailoring the visual aesthetic of something to your eyes only as each person may perceive something differently as you.
